Nigerian Spoon is part of the independent Culinara recipe project. For privacy questions or requests, email the shared publisher inbox, contact@persianspoon.com, and mention Nigerian Spoon.

If you email us, we receive your address and the information you choose to include so we can respond. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Website analytics

We use self-hosted Umami by default to understand which pages people visit and how they find Nigerian Spoon, so we can improve the site. You can disable or re-enable analytics using the small controls at the bottom of this Privacy page. A saved refusal, Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control prevents collection.

Umami records page addresses and titles, referring website domains, language, browser and device information, screen size and approximate country. It uses the network address and browser information to derive a daily pseudonymous session identifier; it does not store the raw IP address in its analytics database. This is not a promise of complete anonymity.

Search terms, URL queries and fragments are removed before collection. Recipe search text, ingredient checkmarks and email contents are not sent to Umami. We do not use advertising trackers, session replay or heatmaps.

A local storage preference remembers a choice you make in this browser. If your browser prevents saving the choice, disabling analytics applies to the current page; a message beside the controls explains this. Umami does not use tracking cookies. Analytics records are scheduled for deletion after 90 days.

Hosting and local cooking controls

Pages, images and the analytics connection are served through the Nigerian Spoon hostname. The server receives network information needed to deliver them. This site does not keep visitor access logs or request-error logs; infrastructure providers may keep their own security or operational records.

Recipe search and ingredient checkmarks work within the page and are not saved in browser storage. Printing uses your browser and device. There are no visitor accounts, comment forms, newsletter forms or ads.

External links and changes

Links to other websites, including image credits and licenses, lead to services with their own privacy practices. External destinations may receive the Nigerian Spoon origin as referrer information.
